Happy 79th Birthday, Dad!

Hi Dad,

I want to wish you a very Happy Birthday! I set up this blog to give you a new hobby -- one you can have fun with at the computer. I am hoping that you will write your thoughts, tell stories of your childhood, youth, and stories from your family. You have a good sense of humor. While we didn't always see this when growing up, I have seen it a lot the past few years, and hope that you will share it with me and others. Anyway, just have fun!

Happy 79th Birthday!

I love you!

Bonnie

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!
I am so thankful to have you in my life. I have some great memories growing up because of you. Thank you for all the fun times at Black Butte Ranch. Thank you for coming to my soccer and basketball games growing up. Also, I really enjoyed playing golf with you and Mimi every summer. Because you guys introduced me to golf, I get to enjoy it for the rest of my life. Thanks so much for being such a great grandpa. I hope your birthday is filled with lots of laughter and love this year! I love you.

Love,
Angela

Hi Daddy- Happy Birthday! I hope your day is just wonderful and fun! We sure had fun last weekend! It was fun to see you and mom laughing so hard with Mike, Charlotte and Snooks.

I have wonderful memories of your sense of humor - The look you get with you bottom lip in a certain position that is just like Leo's, Uncle Bob's, Aunt Lola's and Uncle Walt's. This is something at I actually pointed out to Mike. It must be a family mannerism.

Also, I love memories of a very patient dad while untangling fishing lines from trees, or from logs, untying spinners from other spinners, and waiting while little girls squatted behind trees! You could have fished, but gave us the experiences and memories of those great times.

Thank you - I love you!
love,
Debbie

Happy Birthday Dad!!
I hope your day is a "Happy Birthday". Thanks for all the times you listed pages and pages of numbers for me to add up, sitting next to you, while you worked on other peoples taxes and books. That must of given me a love for numbers and led to all my kids loving math too!
I don't know if you ever acutally liked musicals, but thanks for listening to all of us sing (and some of not so well) musicals by the hours when we were supposed to be fishing.
I also appreciate and love remembering sitting by you in the front seat of the car helping you navigate the car where ever we drove when I was young. That has not only taught me how to drive whereever we go, but has also helped our marraige; as one of us needs to know how to how to get from A to B. It also gave me confidence to drive in any state or city know matter what the size.
I know there is much more I am thankful for, but most of it points to YOU! I love you and have a great birthday.
Love, Jill

Happy Birthday, Grandpa! Sorry we're a day late; we're battling illnesses in our house! We hope your birthday was very happy with many more to come!

Daisia had a great time with you and Mimi a few weeks ago. She often still talks about "Mimi an gampa". We're so glad you were able to spend time with her.

Thank you for all the great memories at Black Butte (and fishing nearby). Thanks for dumping the bucket of worms overboard so I could "use the can".

Happy, Happy Birthday!
Love,
Tracy, Sean & Daisia
